Are You Looking to Develop a New Teleworks USA Hub in Your Community?

Global Text Area

Through its expanding system of state-of-the-art Teleworks Hubs, Teleworks USA has connected hundreds of people in rural Eastern Kentucky with legitimate, well-paying remote-work jobs in the digital economy from a variety of employers since 2015. With this success, we have been approached by local, regional, and national groups requesting to learn more about how our operations can benefit their communities.

Before a community can be considered for Hub development, there must first be a clear understanding of a three-pronged feasibility approach that includes:
  • Community Support
  • Available Resources
  • Ongoing Commitments
DO YOU HAVE COMMUNITY SUPPORT?

To be a successful and sustainable Teleworks USA Hub community, there must be significant demonstration of collaborative partnerships working together to support the need for Teleworks USA’s services for the community’s citizens.

The ideal partnerships commonly include, but are not limited to, organizations such as:
  • Local City/County Government
  • Non-profit Organizations
  • Economic Development Organizations
  • Internet Service Providers
  • College Systems
  • Utilities Cooperatives
  • Industrial Development Authorities

DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE RESOURCES?

A community interested in a Teleworks USA Hub should have a designated in-kind facility that can fully accommodate our services. Teleworks USA Hubs have previously been launched in community centers, previous daycare centers, college campuses, and residential buildings.

A community interested in a Teleworks USA Hub should also have a designated in-kind facility that can fully accommodate our services. Teleworks USA Hubs have previously been launched in community centers, previous daycare centers, college campuses, and residential buildings.

All currently operating Teleworks USA Hubs are equipped and serviced with broadband speeds, but we know that those speeds are not accessible and/or affordable for every household in the community. However, a community with access to at least 100Mbps will have the best success in transitioning teleworkers into home offices.

CAN YOU PROVIDE LONG-TERM ONGOING COMMITMENTS?

A Teleworks USA Hub is not sustainable if the community cannot commit to ongoing resources to help support and cover the cost of operation. Those expenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative
  • Utilities
  • Security
  • Lease/Rent
  • Marketing/Promotions
  • Record Keeping
